I challenge you to name any religious leader I've attacked otherwise, retract your lies and apologise else, I’ll sue you – REV Vincent Kusi Boateng told
The secretary to the Board of trustees for the National Cathedral, Rev Kusi Boateng who peddled wicked and blatant lies, when he alludes to the fact that, Joshua Hamidu Akamba has the habit of attacking religious leaders who oppos the National Democratic Congress, has been asked to retract and apologise for a scandalous, unsavoury and libellous statement he attributed to the National Democratic Congress's National Organizer, Comrade Joshua Hamidu Akamba.
The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), claims that on 13th, August 2020, the said Rev Kusi Boateng made some falshood allegations attributed to him that was published by some news portals, precisely, Mynewsgh.com.
"I have enormous respect for all men of God Across the world and have never privately or publicly, attacked any religious leader in the country and beyond.
I'm just amazed that Rev Kusi Boateng enjoys disagreeing with every stance of the NDC and continues to hail the Akuffo Addo media engagements but finds it problematic when others disagree with him or any decision by the Npp", He added.
Comrade Akamba, who dares Rev Kusi Boateng to name one religious leader who he has attacked stressed that, Exodus 23:1- " thou shall not spread a false report.
You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness, will intercede for him.
The Power Chapel Nationwide Church Rev Vincent Kusi Boateng, was sternly asked to retract and apologies for the lies.
NDC's Joshua Hamidu Akamba has denied the said statement, describing it as defamatory and unscrupulous.
A statement he issued states clearly that, he has not granted any interview to any person or media in that regard in recent times and neither has he uttered the words attributed to him privately or publicly.
Speaking to the media, Comrade Joshua Hamidu Akamba informs the General public that, the said report published by mynewsgh.com is aimed to cause disaffection for him from well-meaning Ghanaians especially the respected religious leaders across the Country.”
Earlier, Comrade Joshua Hamidu Akamba had issued a disclaimer to debunk the allegations, touting his respect for the Christian Council, Religious Leaders and every Ghanaian and their importance to human development.
READ HIS FULL STATEMENT BELOW.
NAME ANY RELIGIOUS LEADER I’VE ATTACKED OR RETRACT SUCH LIES - AKAMBA TO REV KUSI BOATENG.
My attention has been drawn to some disparaging comments made by the General Overseer of the Power Chapel Nationwide Church Rev Vincent Kusi Boateng against my person on a Kumasi based radio station and reported by Mynewsgh.com
In his usual attempt to critique anything Mahama/NDC, the Secretary to the Board of Trustees for the National Cathedral peddled blatant lies, when he suggested that I, Joshua Hamidu Akamba have the penchant of attacking religious leaders who opposes the NDC.
I have enormous respect for noble men of God and have never privately or publicly, attacked any religious leader in the country.
I’m amazed, that Rev Kusi Boateng enjoys disagreeing with every stance of the NDC and continue to hail the Akufo Addo government in all his media engagements but finds it problematic when others disagree with him or any decision by the NPP.
I wish to use this medium to dare Rev Kusi Boateng, to name any religious leader I have attacked and on which platform I did same.
The Scripture admonishes true men of God not to move around as slanderers among men - Leviticus 19:16.
I will further advise him, not to see his role as Secretary to the Board of National Trustees to the National Cathedral as a National Executive position of the New Patriotic Party but carry out his duties with candour and sobriety.
I respect his opinions on national issues but needs to restrain from peddling such blatant lies against my person.
I expect him to substantiate the falsehood peddled by mentioning any religious leader I have attacked publicly or retract and unreservedly apologise.
I must also reiterate, that the decision to spend over 100 million dollars to build a National Cathedral in a nation where “no bed syndrome” continues to take away innocent lives, remains an irresponsible decision.
Exodus 23:1 - “You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.
Many Thanks.
Joshua Hamidu Akamba
National Organizer
National Democratic Congress
