READ THE FULL STATEMENT BELOW.
Since the inception of the Free Senior High School policy introduced in October 2017, the challenges continue to rot day-in and out.
Most of which includes; inadequate furniture , lack of hostel facilities, inadequate classrooms, Lack of teaching and learning materials, insufficient beds for students, No proper sick bays, Improper foods for students, and insufficient equipment in science laboratories.
This idea of Free shs policy under the leadership of Nana Akuffo Addo is contrary to the constitutional mandate of our Ghana's education which the 1992 constitution clearly reflect.
Unfortunately, any concerned citizen of Ghana who alarms such challenges for remedy action to be taken is seen as evil and many devoted journalist are severely punished by the current government, under the leadership of Nana Addo Danquah.
Many teachers who also carried out the concerns in respect of the deadly policy had severe punishments and others were sacked from their various institutions for no reason.
Lack of sufficient fundamentals and unpreparedness towards the implementation of the flagship FSHS program has compelled the Gov't to introduce the "Double Track System" which they believe could help decongest and improve academic performance.
The introduction of the double track system under the Free Senior High School Education, is causing more financial harm and serious economic hardship to many parents in Ghana.
This attributed to the fact that, the policy has made it mandatory on the part of the parents to hire teachers for their Gold track students under the double track system to attend extra classes which also amount to higher cost.
Unfortunately, the recent review of the labour law has revealed that, the daily wage of Ghs10.65 cedis
Which means, any parent whose child is on Gold track student at home is meant to pay Ghs287.55 monthly to the teacher you hired him.
Fortunate and unfortunately enough, there are (8) eight subjects being taught at SHS level each with a subject teacher.
Compelling the parents to hire eight(8) teachers and paying them an amount of Ghs2300.4 per month which is estimated to a cost of( Ghs287.55x8).=¢2300.40
But since the gold students will stay home for almost three(3) months, parents have to pay Gh¢6901.2 (Ghs2300.4x3).
The good parents of ghana are not against the FSHS policy of the current government.
Infact per the estimated cost on every single child in relation of this double track system introduced will continue establish more poverty crisis in Ghana.
If any genuine ideas are not being put in place. Akuffo Addo and his vice Bawumia are always on floor championing FSHS rather putting moneys into the pocket of every Ghanaian parent, it is a lie and misleading message to the good people of Ghana
Japhet, continue to say, the President and his Npp Government must learn to listen to the people of Ghana for the better else they should consider themselves out of the 2020 General election.
