THE SKY IS MY LIMIT CONSTRUCTED 15 SUCCESSFUL MECHANIZED BOREHOLES IN THE VOLTA REGION, FUNDED BY BRIAN MOSKO (TORGBUI AGAMAH DORMENYO I) DEVELOPMENTAL CHIEF AND A MEMBER OF AVENOR TRADITIONAL COUNCIL AND HIS DONORS.
It is a pleasure on behalf of the chiefs and people of Avenor Traditional Area to introduce the work The Sky is My Limit, Hohoe, Gbi Kledzo and a Canadian based Non-Governmental Organization is doing in terms of providing Mechanized boreholes to deprived communities. The NGO is founded by Mrs. Joan Dolgin with the following missions:
To change attitudes toward people with disabilities in every corner of Ghana.
Change the lives of young adults with disabilities through vocational and Technical Skills
Training and reintegration into their communities;
Brian Mosko (Torgbui Agamah Dormenyo I) Developmental Chief of Dzogadze and a member of Avenor Traditional Council and His donors assist deprived communities with access to portable water by drilling mechanized boreholes in communities identified to be in dare need of water by a Ghanaian Director Called Nyahe Michael who also deputized as a supervisor for the construction of the mechanized boreholes.
Since commencement of their operations in Ghana in 2018, they have been carrying out part of their mission (provision of potable water) in the Avenor Traditional area in the Akatsi South District in the Southern Volta Region of Ghana which is the most deprived traditional area in Ghana.
It also carried its construction of the Mechanized borehole projects in Hohoe Municipality, Kpando, Central and North Tongu respectively. Over the past two years, 15 communities within the area have been provided with mechanized boreholes by the NGO funded by Brian Mosko and His Donors. Currently, each well serves an estimated population of about 1500 individuals.
Beneficiary communities include Dzogadze, Kuigba, Tumawukope, Kpodokope, Live, Ahorlikope , Glamatame, Kpogoenu, Bakpa-Gafatsikope, Akpafu, Volta School for the Deaf and Adrume.
These interventions have been timely due to challenges with access to clean water and the gesture has been very appreciated by the chiefs and people of the beneficiary communities with many more communities within my jurisdiction identified to be in need of the project too. Brian Mosko has been the funding source for the 15 wells and still has intentions to continue with this project due to the demands. There are plans to drill 10 of these wells each year to reach an additional 15000 people.
However, Brian Mosko has indicated the need for funding assistance to facilitate speedy delivery of these wells to the communities.
In view of the above, I wish on behalf of the chiefs and people of Avenor Traditional Area request from donors and partners/support fundraising efforts of Brian Mosko from potential donors and sponsors. We would be extremely glad as the deprived and deplorable communities could be assisted by BRIAN MOSKO (TORGBUI AGAMAH DORMENYO I) by using all His efforts to get Donors for speedy delivery of the wells to the people of Avenor and Volta Region at large.
Thank you.
